It is also defined by the names Kestamide, Cast Polyamide or Cast Nylon. Kestamide is an engineering plastic widely used in all industrial branches due to its superior mechanical, physical, chemical and electrical properties. KESTAMID is a durable plastic that is hard, resistant to abrasion and bending, and absorbs less water than polyamide 6, due to its very high molecular weight, crystal structure and cross-linking properties. The formation of a crystalline molecular structure with very long cross-links and no internal stresses during polymerization due to free casting and free cooling ensures that the mechanical values of cast polyamides under heat and load are two to three times higher compared to polyamides produced by extrusion or injection method. It is also possible to manufacture gears, pulleys, stirrer propellers or cylinders with steel shafts by using the techniques specific to the production of kestamide and the mechanical strength of metals. In order to increase the known high mechanical and physical properties of KESTAMID, special additive types are manufactured. KESTAMID is yellow in color. KESTAMID's resistance to chemicals is very good. It is not affected by solvents, oils, hydrocarbons, esters and ketones; Resistant to acids and alkalis in the pH range of 5-11. | ||||||||||||
