RoboGait® is an advanced gait system that presents the patient with a natural physiological gait pattern through a computer-controlled robotic orthosis. While traditional treatment is a power intensive method performed with two or three physiotherapists through parallel bars, it has become an effective treatment method that can be applied by a single user thanks to the robotic rehabilitation systems used today.

1. What are the benefits of RoboGait?

Robogait is a robot-assisted gait therapy device used to accelerate the treatment process for regaining and improving walking ability. In the therapies performed with RoboGait, it is aimed to switch the lower extremity to a normal gait pattern, to carry out the load transfer in a controlled manner and to activate the neuronal pathway. A plasticity effect is created with the visual motivation system.

2. For which patients is RoboGait suitable, and who can benefit from the device?

It is suitable for patients with orthopedic or neuronal disorders such as hemiplegia, paraplegia, CP, SVO, parkinsonism, traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, stroke, hip arthroplasty, post-amputation prosthesis insertion.

3. Which patients cannot be taken into the device?

RoboGait is not suitable for use in patients with hypertension, hypotension, severe osteoporosis, new SVO, inexperienced tilt tables, patients with circulatory problems, pregnant or suspected pregnancy, patients with severe lower extremity disproportion, severe athetoid conditions.

4. Is there a height and weight limit?

Maximum weight: 140 kg

Maximum height: 200 cm

5. Is a separate apparatus necessary for pediatric patients?

No, it is not necessary. It is possible to receive both adult and pediatric patients with a single orthosis.

6. Is there an age limit for children?

No its not. Every patient with a femur length of 20 cm and above in the appropriate profile can be taken to the device.

7. Does the treatment with RoboGait give definite results?

Robot-assisted gait therapy is a part of other treatments applied to the patient. It is aimed to help the treatment according to the patient's condition. Periodic evaluations are made in order to get maximum efficiency from the patient.

8. Is there a recommended session duration?

A minimum of 20 minutes and a maximum of 45 minutes is recommended.

9. How many patients can be taken per day?

Depending on the working hours and session durations of the center where the device is located, a maximum of 16 patients can be admitted.

10. Does the device have a maximum operating time per day?

There is no maximum runtime for daily use.

11. Is the device suitable for use without certification?

The RoboGait device is not suitable for use without certification. RoboGait User Training lasting 2 days is given to device users by the training officer. At the end of the training, a User Certificate with a validity period of 1 year is given to the users who are deemed sufficient.

12. How many days does the user training take?

RoboGait User Training lasts 2 full days, the first day being theoretical and the second day practical training.

13. Does the User Certificate automatically renew when it expires?

No, it is not renewed. When the User Certificate expires, Certificate Renewal Training is carried out by the Training Officer.

14. Who can use the device?

Physical Therapy Technicians and Physiotherapists can use it.

15. Is it suitable for home use?

No, it is not.

16. What should be the minimum dimensions of the room where the device will be installed?

5 m x 3.5 m x 2.7 m (L x W x H)

Minimum door dimensions should be 110 cm for placement of the device in the room.
