Polyurea systems have recently emerged in coating systems. Although elastomeric urethane systems have been used since 1970, polyurea coating systems emerged in the 1980s. Polyurea systems have two main application areas. These are Reaction Injection Molding (RIM) and spray areas. The rapid curing of polyurea coatings, even at low degrees (below zero), high hardness, flexibility and breaking strength, as well as chemical and water resistance have expanded the usage areas of these systems. It does not harm the atmosphere as it does not release gas to the environment. It can be used in areas such as anti-corrosion and priming due to its special curing and excellent film-forming properties.
