The right solution for tough demands The perfect combination of tungsten carbide and steel

Steel and carbide are two materials that have completely different coefficients of expansion when exposed to heat. However, our materials are made of steel and tungsten carbide: tungsten carbide is used for the wear-resistant tips and steel is used for the shank. Tensile stresses occur because the tips reach high temperatures during use. These stresses are absorbed by the braze that attaches the tungsten carbide tip to the steel part.

We have developed our own methods and systems for this brazing process, which connects steel and carbide, made by fully automatic machines under special shielding gas. Manufacturing parameters are thoroughly monitored and documented to ensure consistent quality. In order to ensure that our expert users do not lose production due to broken ends, the shear stresses of the connection solders of our end products are also controlled.
