The first quarter of the 1970s, the years when Turkey was foreign-dependent in industrial production. The years when industrial products purchased from abroad at very high prices were needed because they were not produced in Turkey... The seeds of the national industry began to be planted in these years... It is in this climate of thought that its core cracked its shell and began to sprout. Young and idealistic mechanical engineer Baha Kalay and a group of engineer friends started to manufacture reducers and variators with an amateur spirit in the first quarter of the 1970s. In the first spring of 1980, Tahriksan Gearbox was established by Baha Kalay with a professional understanding and started to manufacture serial and standard Gearboxes and Variators. Worm screw gearboxes, which unfortunately could not be produced in serial, standard and desired dimensions in Turkey in those years, were produced for the first time by Tahriksan Gearbox with a professional understanding, multi-functional, modern lines, in the required variety and dimensions, and proudly presented to the use of the Turkish industry. Our company, which moved to its factory in Küçükçekmece Şamlar Village in 1988, unfortunately faced serious problems due to the construction of a drinking water dam in that area. Our company, which struggled with space shortage for about 10 years, moved to its facilities in İkitelli Organized Industrial Zone in 2004. With its high level of engineering knowledge and experience, with a different and new perspective in thinking, design, production methods and producing solutions to needs, it makes significant contributions to the Turkish Industry and to the country's economy with its exports. We continue to move forward with hopeful and zealous steps to the future with our R&D department and all our staff, full of desires and desires for continuous innovation, improvement and development.
