Eccentric Gasket

The task of this shaft, which works proportionally to the engine speed, is to regulate the opening and closing times of the valves. It is an auxiliary shaft that obtains the camshaft movement from the crankshaft. This spindle, which works proportionally to the engine speed, has been placed on the engine by making very fine adjustments for the smooth operation of the engine. Camshafts are produced from high quality carbon steels, often by casting. They are generally manufactured as one piece by forging or casting from quality steel alloys under pressure. There are cams and gears on the shaft. It is absolutely necessary to use a quality eccentric gasket cover to protect the eccentric parts that perform all these sensitive and important tasks and to prevent any leakage inside. In this way, unwanted elements such as dust, dirt and moisture are prevented from entering the eccentric. However, since the gaskets will loosen over time, they must be replaced.
