Bearings generally consist of two bearing rings integrated with their travel paths. The rolling elements are placed between the rings and make a rolling motion on their travel path. The rolling elements can be balls, cylindrical rollers, needle rollers, conical rollers or barrel rollers. The rolling elements are generally guided by a cage that keeps the elements at a uniform distance from each other and prevents them from coming into contact with each other. In needle roller bearings and ribless spherical roller bearings, the cage also ensures correct positioning of the axis of the rolling element. Where bearings can be disassembled, the cage holds the rolling elements together and allows bearings to be mounted more easily. For special applications, roller bearings consisting of cageless close-range balls, cylindrical rollers or needle rollers can also be used.
Tapered Roller Bearings
NSK's tapered roller bearings are capable of carrying high radial and axial loads in one direction. Also available in two-row and four-row versions to support axial loads in all directions. The best designs can be offered with strong cages and a variety of special materials developed for demanding applications. Material technology - hardened high carbon chrome steel. Advanced Materials - Patented materials including High-TF (HTF) and Super-TF (STF) are available for tougher conditions. NSK HR patented high load capacity tapered roller bearings. Optimized NSK cages for large tapered roller bearings mounted on planet carriers. Sliced plastic cages for inside diameters greater than 1000 mm. Metric and English measurements. Outer diameters up to 2500 mm.
Spherical Roller Bearings
NSK's spherical roller bearings can withstand even the harshest conditions. These bearings resist seizure, provide dimensional stability, can support high radial and axial loads, and resist continuous vibration, misalignment and shock loads. Performance enhancements include bearings with superior shock loading capacity, with extra precision on the inside and outside diameter, extremely tight radial clearance tolerance, and excellent workmanship. Design - the guide ring has undergone a change, which increases the stability and strength of the cage. Material technology - The NSKHPS series is manufactured from NSK's high purity Z steel. Special surface treatment increases water resistance. NSK also offers advanced material options - such as Super TF and TL steel - depending on application needs. Advanced technology - NSK's patented Molded-Oil lubrication system is available. Bearings with lubrication grooves and holes in their outer rings are also available for relubrication purposes. Inner ring oil groove and holes are also available as an option. Seal technology - NSK offers different sealing materials depending on the operating temperature of the bearing. Cage materials - available in steel, brass and polyamide depending on application requirements Production technology - advanced production system guarantees outstanding quality control. Life - up to 2 times the operating life of standard bearings. Reduced maintenance costs – shift to smaller size bearings while improving performance and service life. Up to 20% more limit speed. NSK offers a wide range of spherical roller bearings in the NSKHPS series, Molded-Oil, sealed, quiet and low vibration, ultra-large segment, CAM cage spherical roller bearings.
