There are many liquid and gaseous elements in vehicles. In order to prevent these from leaking, the sealing elements that engineers generally produce in flexible and durable structures are called gaskets. Cylinder head gasket, intake-exhaust manifold and throat gaskets, transmission gasket, differential gasket, valve cover gasket, oil sump gasket etc. Gasket materials vary according to the region to be applied. While high temperature resistance is of great importance in the cylinder head section, the oil retention function in the gearbox comes to the fore. Gasket thickness is also a very important issue to be considered. For example, in an automobile engine whose cylinder head is grinded, it is no longer possible to use the original gasket, but this difference caused by grinding can be corrected by using a thicker gasket to be produced specifically for that cover.
