Ultrasonic inspection is a non-destructive testing system that detects expected volumetric and linear errors in metal or non-metallic materials with high-frequency sound waves. If the sent ultrasonic sound waves encounter any space, they reflect and reach the probe and create an echo indication on the device's screen. According to the position of the echo, the coordinates of the reflector (error) within the inspection piece are calculated. In addition, the height of the echo gives information about the size of the error. It is also possible to obtain information about the type of reflector by looking at the shape of the echo signal.
