Parts of the Device
1. Current Source and Measurement Unit:
Output current is adjusted by motorized variac. In this way, 1% output precision is provided. The unit is PLC controlled. User commands are carried out with a PC connected to the unit. In addition to the instantaneous current measurements, it also performs the measurements of the temperature data requested in the experiment.
2. Heating and Insulation Transformers:
There are 4 heating transformers, each of which is 25kVA, grouped in pairs. The Control Unit automatically activates or deactivates each of these transformers according to the desired current amount. Heating transformers are on a trolley platform and can be easily positioned according to the test situation. There are 2 isolation transformers in order to realize high voltage applications in a second loop. Thus, constant current can be applied to two separate loops.
3. Control unit (PC):
The control of the entire experimental process is carried out via the PC. The amount of current that will pass through the sample or the temperature value at which the sample is desired to be kept can be adjusted via the PC. Automatic tests, in which the temperature value can be adjusted to the values specified in the standard, can also be performed with the special software we have prepared for the device. Experiment results and instant measurement data can be recorded and reported.
