Non-return dampers prevent unwanted air flows against the desired air flow direction when the system is not operating in the blowing and suction ducts.

As long as there is air flow, the damper blades are in the open position, as soon as the air flow ends, the blades close with their own weight, thus preventing unwanted return air.
