Küçükpazarlı (KP) was established in 1975 by the brothers Hasan and Sefa Küçükpazarlı to produce molds. KP, which has set its vision by adopting concepts such as innovation, being a solution partner and total quality since the first day of its establishment, has always successfully fulfilled customer requirements in the complex projects it has undertaken. Having successfully delivered the projects it has undertaken, KP succeeded in purchasing its new workshop in the OSTİM region in 1987 and continued to grow by producing. It has successfully performed the production of sensitive and critical parts in the defense industry and has strengthened its position by establishing trust in the sector.
In 2005, Küçükpazarlı Aviation and Space Department (KPA) was established as a separate facility in the 1st OIZ in order to specialize entirely in the aerospace industry, as well as production for the defense industry. It started its first production in the field of aviation by producing critical parts of Agusta Helicopters. Delivering the projects it has undertaken in the aviation sector on time and with precise precision and quality, KPA has proven its capabilities in this sector in a short time and has taken part in important projects in the field of defense and civil aviation by establishing trust and continues to do so.
KPA has always foreseen the needs of its customers and the market and has responded quickly to these needs with both technology investments and human resources and systemic investments. Leading the sector with the rational and innovative solutions it has developed, KPA has become the biggest and most reliable supporter of its customers by adopting the understanding of being a strategic partner in achieving their goals in cost-effective ways. KPA, which always foresees its part in order for its strategic partners to take part in large projects, develops its ability to increase capacity in a short time and to use it effectively by rapidly adapting large-scale machinery investments and human resource power to its system.
The source of this agility and strength of KPA is its carefully selected and devoted expert staff and its agile and visionary management staff. With its strong staff and investments, KPA has succeeded in becoming a big company that takes on the task of strengthening our country's defense and aerospace industry and producing national projects.
Today KPA is the largest sub-industry of TUSAŞ (TAI). It is also Turkey's second largest manufacturer after TAI in the production of large and complex parts. KPA has been successfully producing a total of 1400 different parts, including structural and critical parts in 14 different aviation projects, including parts that only a few companies around the world can produce, and delivers an average of 400,000 parts per year. For most of these parts, KPA is the sole supplier.
KPA continued its growth in 2012 and established an assembly department within its own body. The assembly department, which started to work in 2012 with 3 people and 300 pieces of parts per month, has become a department that assembles and delivers 7000 pieces per month within 1 year. With the systematic investments made, the number of parts shipped monthly reached 15,000 as of 2015.
KPA, which has shown its strength and capabilities in national projects since its establishment, has undertaken the production of the most critical parts in the first national attack helicopter ATAK Helicopter, the first national unmanned aerial vehicle ANKA (TIHA), the Turkish initial and basic training aircraft Hürkuş and Meltem - II system integration projects. and still continues its production.
KPA continues to grow at an annual rate of 20% in line with the strategies it has developed to achieve the goals it has set. In 2014, a heat treatment facility was established with an investment in a class 2 type C furnace according to atmosphere controlled AMS2750E and BAC 5621. At the beginning of 2014, KPA started the institutionalization project and participated in the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management - European Quality Management Foundation) Stages of Excellence program. In 2015, it successfully completed the NADCAP audit approved by BOEING and gained the certificate update for 2015 and 2016. In the next 3 years, KPA plans to establish its own subcontractor system and transfer capacity. Feasibility analysis studies are ongoing regarding this issue.
Continuing its enterprise resource planning studies by using the most advanced programs, KPA has an agile production management system that can be observed, measured and analysed, and continues its investments in order to improve this capability day by day. Production status, capacity and risk reports are shared transparently with our customers by receiving instant reports at every step of the production and assembly stages, if requested.
