OSTİM Commitee continued its touch with Uzbekistan within the scope of Central East Program. The Committe visited the Cluster of Furniture and Foreign Trade and the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, also The Embassy of Tashkent in the Republic of Turkey.

The President of Board of the Cluster of Furniture and Tree Muhtar Umarov, requesting cooperation, said “We need your experience.”

The President of Board of OSTİM Orhan Aydın states that we are ready to support the Cluster of Furniture and Tree in terms of vocational training, planning industrial sites and establishment.

OSTİM OİS Reginal Director Adem Arıcı noted that they will start the establisment of industrial site in Uzbekistan.

The door of the Embassy is open for investors

The OSTİM Committee visited The Ambassador of Tashkent in the Republic of Turkey Olgan Bekar and debriefed on business and investment opportunities. Stating that Uzbekistan has great potential, the Ambassador Bekar stressed that their door is open for investors and they are ready to support. Olgan Bekar, pointing their need for personnels, underlined the actions of OSTİM Technical University on this issue.

The President of Board of OSTİM Orhan Aydın expresses their appreciation for sharing knowledge in OSTİM ecosystem with Uzbekistan as an institution, pointing the historical connection between two country.

In this visit, Grand National Assembly of Turkey the President of National Education Commission Ankara the Member of the Parliament Prof. Dr. Emrullah İşler, the President of OSTİM Technical University Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek from the OSTİM Committee and industrialists were present.  

The Uzbek Minister requested cooperation in the field of industry

Later on, the OSTİM Committe came together Laziz Kudratov, the First Acting Minister of Uzbekistan Investment and Foreign Trade.

In this visit, Grand National Assembly of Turkey the President of National Education Commission Ankara the Member of the Parliament Prof. Dr. Emrullah İşler, OSTİM Technical University the Member of the Board of Trustees Hasan Hüseyin Coşkun, OSTİM Chairman of the Executive Board Orhan Aydın, OSTİM OİS Regional Director Adem Arıcı, the President of OSTİM Technical University Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek, the Member of Board of ASELSAN Prof. Dr. Turan Erol were present.

The Acting Ministernnoted that they have completed their works on legislation regarding establishing an industrial site. Kudratov states “Welcome to the fatherland. We are looking for how we can establish an industrial site as OSTİM with you. We should focus on a field and start there. Let’s cooperate in establishing furniture industrial site. You support us for improving present industrial site.”

OSTİM Chairman of the Executive Board Orhan Aydın expressed “You can establish an ecosystem and it can be an competitive area, the support of the state has great importance on industry planning”, stating that they can share their knowledge on establishment of industrial site.

The President of OSTİM Technical University Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek introduced the institution and invited Uzbek students to get education in OSTİM Technical University.
