Sectors
We entered the crane industry in 1977 as a sole proprietorship with lattice boom cranes. In 2003, we incorporated our company and continue our operations today. We are constantly updating our machinery fleet to meet current demands, including a 2005 Liebherr LTM 1220-5 mobile crane, a 35-ton double-articulated Hi-Up crane mounted on a 2012 Mercedes Axor truck (built by Erkin Hidrolik), and a 2011 FH 540 Volvo tractor unit with a 2011 hydraulic 8-axle Faymonville lowbed trailer.
We chose the Liebherr 220-ton mobile crane because its boom and capacity specifications are more advantageous compared to its competitors. With this machine, we aim to lift bridge girders and heavy loads more safely. We chose the 35-ton crane we ordered from Erkin Hidrolik, scheduled for delivery at the end of February, because we liked Erkin Hidrolik's design and manufacturing quality. With this machine, we plan to work safely at higher altitudes within the city. Our other investment, an 8-axle hydraulic lowbed, was purchased for the heavy transport sector, both within Turkey and abroad, to transport our own machines and undertake market projects.
We aim to expand our machinery fleet in 2012. If we achieve the performance we are looking for in heavy transport, we plan to continue investing in lowbed trailers. In addition, we plan to add the AC 350 SSL 350-ton machine, with which we are currently in negotiations, to our fleet before the end of 2012.
Currently, our fleet includes 6 mobile cranes, 7 truck-mounted folding cranes, 1 25m aerial platform, 1 tow truck, and 2 lowbed trailers. We provide loading, unloading, handling, and discharge services both within Turkey and internationally, including all types of assembly and disassembly, base station installation and dismantling, and construction work.
Despite some setbacks, 2011 wasn't a terrible year for our company. While we didn't achieve everything we hoped for (as is the case in every sector), we were able to invest and achieve growth. The crane industry, both globally and in Türkiye, is a bright and promising sector. However, in our country, companies that don't properly calculate costs and income/expenses are buying cranes, causing prices to fall back to 2002 levels in an attempt to short-term fixes, resulting in significant profit losses. We lament when machines break down, but by then it's too late. Our earnings aren't enough to cover repairs. Therefore, we believe it would be better if we could resolve issues like pricing, road permits, and weighbridges through associations.
We are trying to modernize our machinery fleet as much as our resources allow. As a company, our first priority is safety and security. Finally, we hope that companies operating in this sector will conduct more conscious cost analyses and price their services accordingly. We wish all our colleagues successful work and profits.
