TÜV SÜD Turkey was founded in 1987, primarily serving the industrial sector. By providing world-class technical services to leading companies in the industry, we quickly strengthened our presence in the Turkish market. In 1995, we expanded our scope to include management systems auditing services. With the addition of automotive, education, and product certification sectors, we began offering our clients all the technical services they need from a single source.

As part of our growth strategy in Turkey, we expanded our range of services in the industrial sector with the acquisition of TEKKON A.Ş., a company providing services in quality control and quality assurance, non-destructive testing and inspection, in November 2014. This investment, aimed at increasing our global competitive advantage, is a significant step in maintaining our pioneering and key role in Turkey and new markets.

TÜV is an abbreviation for Technischer Uberwachungsverein in German, which translates to Technical Inspection Association in Turkish. SÜD, meaning south in German, is a lasting reminder of where the story of TÜV SÜD began.
