The Rubber Technologies Cluster's Strategic Roadmap Development Workshop was held with broad participation.

At the Strategic Roadmap Development Workshop, held within the scope of the URGE project supported by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Turkey and implemented by the OSTİM Rubber Technologies Cluster, stakeholders were presented with information about the rubber sector in Türkiye and the world, findings related to the cluster, best practice examples, and the needs analysis prepared for the OSTİM Rubber Technologies Cluster.

The workshop was attended by Ankara Chamber of Industry President Nurettin Özdebir, Ankara Development Agency General Secretary Arif Şayık, Head of SME and Clustering Department of Export General Directorate of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Turkey Emrah Sazak, OSTİM Board Chairman Orhan Aydın, ORSİAD Board Chairman Özcan Ülgener, OSİAD Board Chairman Adnan Keskin, managers of civil society organizations and our cluster member companies.

ASO President Nurettin Özdebir, in his speech, touched upon the fact that rubber has effectively taken its place in every aspect of our lives. Özdebir said, "Our sector is developing, and especially in the last five years, the sector has understood the value of knowledge and is striving for it."

Emrah Sazak, Head of the SME and Clustering Department at the General Directorate of Exports of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Turkey, noted that the success in this sector will create a multiplier effect on other sectors as well.

During the workshop, our cluster's mission, vision, and goals were defined. Working groups were formed to work towards these goals, and companies indicated which working groups they wished to participate in. The selected working groups are:

  1. Joint Laboratory and Testing Center Working Group

  2. Recycling Working Group

  3. Legal Regulations and Law Working Group

  4. Joint Supply Working Group

  5. Establishment of Banbury Facility Working Group
