Limak Construction has carried out important international airport projects in the aviation industry so far. On October 29, 2018, it completed the first phase of the Istanbul Airport Project, one of the largest infrastructure investments in Turkey and the world, for which it won the tender and signed the contract with its partners in 2014. The new terminal building of Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, which has been designed with an environmentally friendly approach in a total of 500 thousand square meters of indoor space and has been awarded many awards, including being selected as one of the safest buildings in the world, with values far above international norms, including the design-construction process, in a record time of 18 months. completed in 2009. In 2013, he built Pristina Adem Jashari International Airport, which is the most technological, modern and environmentally friendly airport in the Balkans, with a capacity of 5 million passengers. It completed the Cairo International Airport Terminal 2 Project in Egypt, financed by the World Bank, in 2016. In 2017, he built the International Blaise-Diagne Airport Project in Dakar, the capital of Senegal, which he undertook with his partner in 2016. Limak Construction completed the Khabarovsk Airport Domestic Terminal in the Russian Federation, the construction of which it undertook together with Marashstroy in 2019, and delivered it to the state on August 20, 2019, and the airport was put into use at full capacity on October 14, 2019.
Limak Construction continues the construction of the Kuwait International Airport Terminal II Project, which is one of the most prestigious works in the world, which has the largest contract value won by a Turkish contracting company, whose contract was signed in 2016, and which is of great importance for Kuwait. In addition, the Chelyabinsk International Domestic Terminal Construction, undertaken with Marashtroy in the Russian Federation, continued in 2019.
Other projects undertaken abroad; In the city center of Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, the mixed-use superstructure project consisting of shopping mall, hotel and residence blocks with an area of approximately 300 thousand square meters, and the Moglice hydroelectric power plant with a power of approximately 250 MW in Albania, continued to be built for Statkraft. The construction and maintenance project of public buildings and infrastructure works in Al-Mutlaa District in Kuwait was undertaken.
Limak Construction has successfully completed many hydroelectric power plant (HEPP) projects in the energy sector so far. Among them; There is Alkumru Dam and HEPP, which is one of the largest HEPP projects made by the private sector in Turkey, with an installed power of 280 MW and an average generation capacity of close to 1 billion kWh per year. The construction of Yusufeli Dam and HEPP, the world's third highest double curvature concrete arch dam in Artvin, and the Çetin Dam and HEPP projects in Siirt, an investment of the group, are continuing rapidly.
In the country; North Marmara Motorway Section 6, Şırnak-Pervari and Artvin-Erzurum roads, and 4 highway projects in Pakistan are ongoing.
In 2019, Northern Marmara Highway Section 4 and Ankara Drinking Water II. Stage projects have been completed. The construction of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge and Malkara-Çanakkale Highway Project, which is one of the most important projects for our country and whose tender was won by the joint venture group of the company, continues. The 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, which will be the longest suspension bridge in the world with a span of 2023 meters between its piers, is aimed to be completed and opened in 2023, the 100th anniversary of our Republic.
