Dear Members,

The measures taken to ensure the security of the 36th NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government, to be held in Ankara on July 7-8, 2026, and to maintain public order were announced by the Ankara Governorship in a press release dated June 22, 2026.

In its press release dated June 22, 2026, the Ankara Governorship stated:

“Throughout our province,

Preventing the entry of unauthorized vehicles and individuals into designated sensitive areas, including the summit venues, delegation accommodations, and transit routes.

The flight of all types of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones, etc.) in our province's airspace is prohibited between the specified dates (except with the permission of the Governorship).

The necessary decisions have been made to PROHIBIT all gatherings, meetings, demonstrations, press conferences, hunger strikes, sit-ins, protests, rallies, setting up stands, erecting tents, distributing leaflets/brochures, hanging posters/banners, etc., in both open and closed areas, for a period of 13 days, from 00:00 on June 28, 2026 to 23:59 on July 10, 2026, within the scope of Article 11/C of Law No. 5442 and Article 17 of Law No. 2911 on Meetings and Demonstrations.

On the other hand, in a letter from the Ankara Provincial Police Department to our OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Directorate regarding the 36th NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government, it was stated that, within the scope of the summit to be held in Ankara on July 7-8, 2026; construction work should be stopped from 08:00 on Monday, July 6, 2026, until the end of the programs and the departure of the guest delegations from Ankara, in the areas around the routes to be used for the summit, event venues, airports and hotels where accommodation will be provided; and that flammable/combustible/explosive materials should not be present in the construction areas.
