Belarus Ambassador Viktor Rybak visited OSTİM. Meeting with OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın, OSTİM Investment Inc. General Manager Abdullah Çörtü, and Business and Construction Machinery Cluster (İŞİM) International Project Specialist Esma Akyüz, the Ambassador stated that they consider OSTİM to be the industrial heart of Turkey.
Viktor Rybak explained that Belaz brand mining trucks, produced in his country, hold 30% of the world market share in the sector and that the company produces trucks with capacities ranging from 30 tons to 450 tons.
Rybak stated that he believes these trucks will also be in demand in the Turkish market, and that they aim to establish sustainable trade between the two countries, adding that they also want to learn OSTİM's opinions on the matter.
Ambassador Rybak stated, "I believe this project has a very high viability rate. I also consider it a very important project, especially for the Turkish economy."
OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın emphasized that OSTİM is an important region in Turkey and the world in the construction and mining machinery sectors. Highlighting the importance of relations between the two countries, Aydın said, “We also desire cooperation with Belarus, and we believe we can achieve very good results if we can. We can develop collaborations between OSTİM Technical University and higher education institutions and the private sector in Belarus.”
Nearly 10,000 spare parts are exported to 50 countries.
Abdullah Çörtü, General Manager of OSTİM Investment, explained that a great deal of work is being done in the region in the field of construction and industrial machinery. Noting that İŞİM has over 140 members, ranging from spare parts to machinery manufacturing, Çörtü stated, “Having such a strong backing is a great advantage. We are also involved in the mining sector; Belaz trucks cater to the mining industry.”
Abdullah Çörtü, stating that they also conduct foreign trade activities in the business and construction machinery sector, said, “We have nearly 10,000 spare parts manufactured for İŞİM members and export them to 50 countries. If we bring together needs and production and create a sound solution, we can achieve a successful result.
