OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Directorate rewards businesses that comply with legal regulations, create a healthy and safe working environment, and produce in a way that is sensitive to their employees and the environment, through its Certificate of Appreciation program. Firms that have received the Certificate of Appreciation through this program, which has been running for three years, state that having their efforts and production recognized and appreciated motivates them.
The OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone, Business Opening and Operating License Directorate, identifies businesses operating in accordance with legal regulations. Businesses that produce in compliance with the Organized Industrial Zones Law No. 4562, the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331, and environmental criteria are rewarded.
As part of the program, two more companies were awarded Certificates of Appreciation. OSTİM Board Chairman Orhan Aydın, Regional Manager Adem Arıcı, and Business Opening and Operating Permit Manager Mustafa Bıyık visited UMS Uğur Metal Sanayi and Akmeda Medikal companies and presented the Certificates of Appreciation to the company managers.
“We will strive to be worthy”
UMS Uğur Metal Sanayi General Manager Hakkı Usta expressed his pleasure at being located in OSTİM as one of Turkey's important steel service centers. Stating that receiving the Certificate of Appreciation was a source of pride, Usta said, “Hopefully, we will strive to be worthy of the OSTİM Management by increasing our goal of achieving even greater successes, our systemic approach, and our work dynamism. I thank the entire team.”
“It increases our motivation to work”
Akmeda Medical produces disposable surgical sets and gowns at its production facility in OSTİM. General Manager Şenol Akarsu stated that the production facilities and services provided by the management in OSTİM are a great opportunity for them.
Akarsu emphasized that they were very pleased to see their efforts recognized, and added: “The Certificate of Appreciation is a source of pride for us and has greatly motivated the entire Akmeda family, including our team. Furthermore, the feeling that the OSTİM management is always by our side with their support and contributions will increase our work ethic and enable us to achieve even greater successes.”
