The coordinators of the clusters located in Ostim gave a presentation about the clusters to the students of the Turkish Aeronautical Association University.
OSTİM, one of the pioneers of clustering initiatives in Turkey, presented its successful activities at the Turkish Aeronautical Association University.
Representatives from the Construction and Industrial Machinery, Renewable Energy and Environmental Technologies, Defense and Aerospace, Medical, and Rubber clusters within OSTİM presented their cluster activities at the Turkish Aeronautical Association University. The conference, held at the Hayati Yazıcı Faculty Building, featured speakers Bülent Çil, Pınar Yalman, Ufuk Güvendiren, Cengiz Yapıcı, Ayhan Karabulut, and Cenk Çınarbaş. The conference, which was followed with great interest by students from the Engineering and Business Faculties, was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek, and other faculty members.
In their presentations, cluster representatives provided information about the concept of clustering, models in the world and in our country, firms in the value chain, collaborative organizations, and ongoing projects. They stated that firms being part of a specific cluster facilitates access to information and technology, enables them to establish relationships with other institutions, and allows them to create horizontal and vertical connections among themselves.
The program, which also included sectoral analyses, conveyed the message that cluster studies focus on domestic production. The role of clusters in the economic development and employment efforts of regions was also discussed, and the final part of the program listed important points to consider when choosing a career and applying for jobs.
Cenk Çınarbaş, Coordinator of the Rubber Technologies Cluster, stated in his speech outlining the cluster's goals and vision that the primary objective of the Rubber Technologies Cluster is to produce high value-added products.
