During the two years you spent with us, we created a new and innovative philosophical way of thinking, based on the Ahi philosophy, in the apprenticeship, journeyman, and master craftsman stages of your professional careers, adding value to socio-economic life; all together with your creative intelligence.
We guided you on your journey of shaping the future, fostering an analytical perspective and an entrepreneurial spirit, and building the self-confidence to be a universal individual while drawing inspiration from ancient culture. Now you are entering a new era. As your stakeholders, we will maintain a very strong bond with you going forward and proudly witness your successes.
We have no doubt that you will work tirelessly, patiently, and diligently to raise awareness in the environments you find yourself in. We firmly believe that during this process, you will not only become an educated and talented individual, but also a socially adept person equipped with 21st-century skills and a high level of awareness of current events.
Because you have been nurtured by the tradition and ethics of the Ahi brotherhood. Therefore, take on challenging tasks so that you can have a story to tell. Dear graduates; from today onwards, you are professionals. Until yesterday you were students, today you are our colleagues. There is a very important difference between yesterday and today for you. From today onwards, with what you have learned and the values you have gained at this school, you will contribute primarily to your families and your nation, and then to the whole world. I am sure that you have adopted as fundamental values at our university the principle of putting others before yourselves, practicing altruism, making sacrifices, and being beneficial to humanity. Therefore, I especially congratulate you not only on your graduation but also for being ready to contribute to the world.
You are the second graduating class in the history of our university. Therefore, you are very valuable to us, and in the future, the young people who come after you will look to you as role models. Be aware of the responsibility you bear, because each of you will be a light for the young people who come after you. Please be aware of the responsibility you carry.
Unlike other universities in the world, our university has based its approach on ‘competency-based’ education. Competency-based education has four main elements. We aimed to equip you with these four elements through this education, and we have strived to achieve this. Your professors, our administrative staff, and we ourselves have worked tirelessly to ensure the transmission of these four competency elements. The first is knowledge. You need to combine knowledge with skills so that you can be beneficial to the institutions and society in which you will work. That's why we sent you to the heroic companies that nurtured you alongside us from your second semester onwards. As of today, we have signed what we call workplace agreements with over 500 companies. These companies, along with our faculty members, became the professors who trained you, and they became non-academic company universities that nurtured you. Therefore, knowledge and skills. The third is values, and the fourth is behavior.
These four competencies are elements of the civilization we call Ahilik, which spread from the Anatolian lands to the world as a gift. Ahilik also has ancient elements and values. We have tried to cultivate you in our education by transforming these into four competency elements.
Please, collaborate with our career center to find employment at companies waiting for you, or establish your own companies as soon as possible. Some of our graduates before you have founded their own companies. Some of them have received investments from abroad or within the country. Don't fall behind them and go global as soon as possible. Never forget that you are an OSTİM Teknik graduate!

We are truly excited and proud today. My excitement inevitably increases when I am with these young people. God has granted us the opportunity to see the graduates of this university today, a university for which we have worked and strived for a long time, and which our predecessors also dreamed of for a long time; a university that has formed an industrial ecosystem. I thank God. I remember with gratitude all those who contributed to making this day possible. This year we are graduating our second cohort of students. We received these young people as a trust from their families. With our valuable academics and administrative staff, who are effective, competent, and highly knowledgeable and skilled, we are sending these trusts back to you and their futures today, having done our best and fulfilling our responsibilities.
Our task doesn't end here. We don't want to abandon the young people we've graduated. With our institutions, our region, our long-standing corporate structures, and all our initiatives—OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone, OSTİM Foundation, our clusters—we want to declare to all our families and young people here that we will continue to host and support them. Our relationship doesn't end with these graduations. As long as we are alive and these institutions exist, you can come and go here. You can share all your problems with our institutions. I want to declare once again in your presence that we want to continue fulfilling this duty and walking this path together with you.
