OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın emphasized the need for swift action in developing relations between the two neighboring countries.
Aydın stated that OSTİM mainly consists of SMEs, and added, "We should see OSTİM as an ecosystem where everything is together, as an industrial city. With our clusters, technoparks, and university, we are a unique Organized Industrial Zone in Turkey."
Orhan Aydın emphasized that they host 7 sectoral clusters, and noted that they will organize programs to conduct bilateral business meetings and visits to Bulgaria and the Balkans with a structure consisting of a technopark and a university, along with the business and construction machinery, defense and aerospace, renewable energy, medical, rubber, rail systems and communication technologies sectors.
"My priority is to bring our businesspeople together with those in Bulgaria and the Balkans to do business with each other," said Aydın, adding that they will plan the Bulgaria and Balkans Business and Travel Program under three main headings. Aydın stated, "Our target areas are: collaborating with an Organized Industrial Zone in Bulgaria, partnering with a technopark, and becoming a partner with a university."
“Let’s act without losing passion”
Bulgarian Ambassador Anguel Hristov Tcholakov emphasized the importance of economic and trade relations. Comparing diplomacy to a twin-engine rocket, Ambassador Tcholakov stated, "One engine is trade and economy, the other is culture. If one is missing, diplomacy is useless."
Anguel Hristov Tcholakov, noting that they would be honored to host the Bulgaria program organized by OSTİM, said, “We will do our best. Potential becomes a missed opportunity if it is not utilized for a certain period. Let's act on trade, cooperation, and cultural issues without losing this passion. We are ready to work together. I believe your meeting with the Bulgarian investment agency and the newly established Ministry of Innovation and Development will be beneficial. Let's meet again before you leave.”
