Indonesia to have a pilot Organized Industrial Zone based on the OSTİM Model.

Indonesia's Batang and Tanjungpinang Industrial Zones formalized their efforts to transfer the OSTİM model to their country with a memorandum of cooperation signed at OSTİM. Through this cooperation, a pilot Organized Industrial Zone will be established in Indonesia using the OSTİM model. The Indonesian Industrial Zones also wish to develop collaborations with OSTİM in Europe and the Middle East.

Following a trade delegation program organized by OSTİM Renewable Energy and Environmental Technologies Cluster (OSTİM ENERJİK) to Indonesia, Indonesian public and private sector representatives, who continued their contacts to obtain detailed information about OSTİM, formalized their cooperation with OSTİM on the industrial zone model by signing a memorandum of cooperation.

Indonesian public and private sector representatives visited OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation regarding the transfer of knowledge based on the OSTİM model.

A delegation from Indonesia, comprising representatives from the Ministry of Economic Affairs Coordination, the Ministry of Industry, the Bintan and Karimun Free Trade Zone Council Secretariat, the Karimun Free Trade Zone, the Bintan Free Trade Zone, the Tanjungpinang Free Trade Zone, and the Batang Integrated Industrial Zone, received information about the OSTİM ecosystem and the OSTİM model at the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Directorate.

OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Manager Adem Arıcı provided information about OSTİM's model studies being carried out in Uzbekistan. Arıcı said, "We are also ready to work with organized industrial zones in Indonesia and share our knowledge and experience."

OSTİM Foreign Trade Coordinator Esma Akyüz provided information about the OSTİM ecosystem.

OSTİM ENERJİK Chairman of the Board Yaşar Çelik stated that they are working intensively to develop collaborations with Indonesia.

Mohd Ikhsan Fansuri, Chairman of Tanjungpinang Free Trade Zone, and Anak Agung Putu Ngurah Wirawan, Chairman of Batang Integrated Industrial Zone, provided information about their respective zones and shared opportunities for cooperation.

During the program, a Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation was signed with two Organized Industrial Zones included in Indonesia's investment program: Tanjungpinang Free Trade Zone and Batang Integrated Industrial Zone, for the establishment of a pilot Organized Industrial Zone. The Memorandum was signed by Mohd Ikhsan Fansuri, Chairman of Tanjungpinang Free Trade Zone; Anak Agung Putu Ngurah Wirawan, Chairman of Batang Integrated Industrial Zone; and Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone.

Collaboration for the future of humanity

OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Chairman Orhan Aydın expressed his pleasure at hosting the Indonesian delegation and emphasized the importance of developing relations between the two countries. Aydın said, “We must do this for our countries. We must do this for the Islamic world. We must do this for the future of humanity.”

President Aydın, drawing attention to the fact that the current system has made the world uninhabitable, stated, “We must cooperate for the future of humanity. They have created an unlivable world. We see that there is no other way out of this than cooperation and joining forces. I believe that the Memorandum of Understanding we have signed will yield positive results for future generations, for Indonesia, for Turkey, and according to our intentions.”

At the end of the program, the OSTİM Liaison Office for Tanjungpinang Free Trade Zone and Batang Integrated Industrial Zone was inaugurated.

Following their program at the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Directorate, the Indonesian delegation visited industrial and technology facilities in OSTİM.
