OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın and board members met with Yenimahalle Mayor Fethi Yaşar. Also present at the meeting were Deputy Mayor Mehmet Kartal, and Vice Mayors Hüseyin Boran, Erhan Aras, and Yaşar Neslihanoğlu.
“We love OSTİM”
During the program where Yenimahalle Municipality's services and activities for OSTİM were discussed, Mayor Fethi Yaşar drew attention to the importance of production and employment.
Pointing out the need to support local producers, Yaşar said, “Instead of supporting local producers, we import every product from abroad. Turkey cannot develop with this approach. Therefore, we attach great importance to the OSTİM region. Thousands of our people earn their living thanks to this region. In a period when unemployment is felt so intensely, we have to find solutions to the problems experienced by OSTİM and provide them with the necessary support. We love OSTİM, and we are giving the region all the support we can so that producers can earn money under better conditions and unemployment can be prevented.”
Industry and education should be planned together.
Highlighting the importance of equipping young people with the necessary skills and establishing vocational training campuses in industrial zones to overcome the production problems experienced in the country, Mayor Yaşar stated, “I attach great importance to the Technical University established in the OSTİM region. As in Europe, it is necessary to increase the number of such production-oriented campuses in industrial zones in our country and to provide quality education to our youth.”
Highlighting the importance of collaborations with Yenimahalle Municipality, OSTİM Board Chairman Orhan Aydın said, “We thank Mayor Fethi Yaşar for his support in addressing the difficulties we face as an industrial zone.”
