Invitation from Paraguay to the Investment Forum

Prof. Dr. Maria Elena Villalba, Commercial Attaché of the Paraguayan Embassy in Ankara, visited OSTİM. The Paraguayan diplomat invited OSTİM to the Invest in Paraguay Investment Forum, which will be held in Asunsion, the capital, on September 8-9, 2022.

Prof. Dr. Maria Elena Villalba, Commercial Attaché of the Paraguayan Embassy in Ankara, visited OSTİM.

Attaché Villalba met with Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the OSTİM Board of Directors and the Board of Trustees of OSTİM Technical University, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Polat, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at OSTİM Technical University, and the managers of the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Cluster.

Recalling that Paraguay opened its embassy in Turkey three years ago, Villalba said, "As two societies, we are just beginning to get to know each other. We will get to know each other better through commercial and cultural collaborations."

Attaché Villalba explained that his country has significant opportunities in every field, from infrastructure projects to the medical sector, energy, and transportation. He recommended that these opportunities be examined on-site and invited OSTİM to the Invest in Paraguay Investment Forum, which will be held in Asunsion, the capital of Paraguay, on September 8-9, 2022, with the support of the American Development Bank.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Polat, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at OSTİM Technical University, invited Paraguayan students to pursue undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies to conduct academic research and publish theses on the development of Paraguay.

OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın stated that they are ready to work towards developing long-overdue relations with Paraguay. Aydın noted that with their sectoral clusters in business and construction machinery, defense and aerospace, renewable energy, rubber, rail systems, and communication technologies, they can provide many products and services that Paraguay needs.
