The Ambassador of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to Ankara, İsmet Korukoğlu, visited OSTİM. The Ambassador was welcomed by OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın, OSTİM Vice Chairman Sıtkı Öztuna, OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Manager Adem Arıcı, OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone External Relations Coordinator Hamza Akca, and OSTİM Cluster Coordinators, who provided him with information about OSTİM.
Ambassador Korukoğlu, who received information about the products at EMGE Electromechanical Equipment Industry Inc., a member of the OSTİM Defence and Aerospace Cluster (OSSA), and STM, an Ostim Technopark company, was also briefed on the activities of Ostim Technopark by Ostim Technopark General Manager Dr. Derya Çağlar.
Ismet Korukoğlu also met with the Rector of OSTİM Technical University, Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek, and exchanged views on cooperation opportunities.
“We witnessed Turkey’s expertise at OSTİM”
Ambassador Korukoğlu, expressing his pleasure at getting to know OSTİM, said, “We discussed how we can transfer OSTİM's successes to the TRNC. We saw the same knowledge and experience in OSTİM as in Turkey. In this regard, I wonder if we can draw the attention of the authorities in my country to the OSTİM example and create similar examples in Cyprus? This has been very valuable for my visit today.”
