Giving information at the project launch meeting held in OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone, Cluster Coordinator Dr. Kayhan Olanca explained the activities carried out in the first project and the results of the project. Olanca stated that thanks to URGE, there were companies that exported for the first time and doubled or tripled their exports.

Chairman of the Board Akman Karakülah highlighted the contributions that cluster activities provide to member firms and the sector. Karakülah thanked the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Management for their contributions to the clustering.

OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın, recalling that they are pioneers in clustering efforts in Turkey, stated that the gathering of manufacturing companies around clusters provides significant advantages. Pointing to the importance of clustering, Aydın said, "The solution to Turkey's problems lies in creating value."

URGE Project Specialist Şahin Kaya also explained the scope of the project. The three-year project, which started with 24 participants (21 from Ankara, 2 from Bursa, and 1 from Istanbul), will consist of the following stages: Needs Analysis, Training and Consulting, Purchasing Delegation, and International Marketing Activities. Stating that they aim to add 3 companies to the export list of URGE participants, Şahin Kaya announced that they will conduct 12 training and consulting sessions, 8 trade fairs, 2 purchasing delegations, 5 international marketing activities, and 10 B2B meetings throughout the project.

The meeting also included a workshop to identify common problems prior to the needs analysis, and solutions were discussed.
