OSTİM Industrial Investments and Operations Inc. held its 2022 Ordinary General Assembly meeting.
In accordance with the articles of association, the general assembly, chaired by Board Chairman Orhan Aydın, was held in the OSTİM OSB Conference Hall.
The Board of Directors included Sıtkı Öztuna, Vice Chairman of the OSTİM Board of Directors, and Ömer Serdar Marasalı, Finance Coordinator of the OSTİM Foundation.
OSTİM Investment is part of a very meaningful ecosystem.
OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın stated that OSTİM Investment, together with its partners, is a company that has undertaken a mission to create added value for Ankara's and Turkey's industry and trade, to follow technology, and to bring technology to the region.
Aydın, noting that OSTİM Yatırım has become part of a very significant ecosystem in OSTİM, stated, “OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone, OSTİM Clusters, OSTİM Technopark, OSTİM Foundation, and OSTİM Technical University together create a model design that contributes to the development and progress of our country, giving us a competitive edge over other countries. When we explain this model to our guests from abroad, it attracts a lot of interest from them, and they request similar Organized Industrial Zones, technoparks, and universities in their own countries.”
"OSTİM Investment is also our commercial face," said Aydın, adding, "It's an important interface for us in terms of opening up and selling products from OSTİM to the world, and transferring technology to companies."
“We are working to benefit both our company and our country”
OSTİM Investment General Manager Abdullah Çörtü read the company's 2022 activity report. Çörtü shared the following information: “We are a commercial company, but we also work to contribute to our country's success while our company profits. Our Ostim Technopark investment is an example of this. We invested in the Ostim Technopark Incubation Center at OFİM. We benefited both OSTİM and our company, and we also created a working environment for young minds who will work here. We installed a 1.3 MW rooftop solar power plant on the roof of our Meksis subsidiary. We are the largest investor in OSTİM GSYF. We invest in young people and companies with high-quality projects. We support the minds that will change the fate of the country. As of today, we have a company called Büyütech, operating in the software sector and facial recognition. We have made our first actual participation in this company. Congratulations. We completed 2022 with a turnover of 225 million. We exported to 26 countries.”
The activity report and financial statements were discussed at the general assembly and approved by a majority vote.
