Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ) Malaysia Sdn Bhd Board Member Tengku Datuk Dr. Mohd Azzman Shariffadeen and Executive Board Member Mohd Shahiman Bin Sulaiman visited OSTİM together with TUSAŞ General Manager Advisor Halil Tokel.
TUSAŞ Malaysia executives met with OSTİM Board Chairman Orhan Aydın and were briefed on OSTİM's clustering efforts. OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Manager Adem Arıcı explained the work of Ohangaron Tech Industrial, for which they provided consultancy services in establishing OSTİM in Uzbekistan using the OSTİM Model.
Semih Yiğit, Coordinator of the OSTİM Defence and Aerospace Cluster (OSSA), explained OSSA's activities and the contributions it provides to its members.
TUSAŞ Malaysia Board Member Tengku Datuk Dr. Mohd Azzman Shariffadeen stated that they aim to create a similar supply ecosystem in Malaysia to the one TUSAŞ has established with OSTİM. The Malaysian executive emphasized their desire to develop an aviation industry in the country and improve the international competitiveness of companies.
Letter of Intent signed
OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın drew attention to the international validity of the clustering model. Noting that OSTİM would be pleased to share its clustering experience in 7 sectors with Malaysia, Aydın proposed signing a letter of intent to ensure the sustainability of relations between OSTİM and TUSAŞ Malaysia.
A Letter of Intent (LOI) was signed between OSTİM and TUSAŞ Malaysia to support the development of business in the aviation and aerospace industry and other related sectors between Malaysia and Türkiye.
In this context, the parties agreed to cooperate in order to develop trade and sectoral relations between the two countries.
