OSTİM, which contributes to the international trade of its members through clustering initiatives, is launching a new project. With the support of the Turkish Ministry of Economy's e-commerce site collective membership project, product and company profiles are being digitized to facilitate access to global markets. The project involves collaboration with globalpiyasa.com to create a business network, a shared virtual trade fair, and a common digital marketing strategy for OSTİM members.
With the E-Commerce Project, companies will be visited individually by foreign trade experts, and information about products, company profiles, and production capabilities will be collected. Export needs analyses will be conducted for the companies, and new markets will be identified.
The project aims to strengthen domestic and national e-commerce sites against foreign e-commerce sites. In the OSTİM-globalpiyasa.com joint project, which is planned to include 1,500 OSTİM companies, the employed foreign trade consultants and support staff will provide direct services to OSTİM companies.
Free of Charge
This program will equip OSTİM companies with the ability to publish, manage, and access foreign markets online using modern marketing methods. All companies will have advanced websites with their own control panels within their business network. They will not have to pay any fees for this service.
This project, implemented with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Economy's e-commerce collective membership program and the contribution of the globalpiyasa.com database, will equip OSTİM companies with the ability to publish, manage, and access foreign markets for their products online in accordance with modern marketing disciplines.
They will manage it themselves
Companies included in the system will be able to publish their company profiles, products, purchase requests, collaboration offers, company capabilities, machinery, product and company promotional articles, gallery images and videos on their websites using the usernames and passwords provided to them.
Each company participating in the project will have websites in English, Russian, German, and Arabic; they will be able to manage their products with automatic translation options, accept and respond to messages and orders, and add promotional materials, videos, images, and articles to the system.
Access will be provided both online and through face-to-face meetings. Trainings will be given in a physical setting, as well as via video conference to increase effectiveness. The process will be monitored and reported on by the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Directorate.

“COMPANIES' PRODUCTION CAPABILITIES ARE PRESENTED”
Mustafa Aktaş / OSTİM Information and Communication Technologies Manager: With our project, we are marketing not only the products but also the production capabilities of our companies. Our companies in OSTİM mostly work as subcontractors for main industries. We, on the other hand, have to market the production capabilities of our companies that do not produce final products but possess very extensive production opportunities and capabilities.
In today's rapidly developing digital commerce network, our country must also have a place. To ensure our country has a voice in digital commerce platforms, we specifically wanted to undertake this project with a local company. Our goal is to create an internationally recognized and used e-commerce platform.
“OSTIM COMPANIES WILL BE PIONEERS”
Gökmen Gök/Project Manager: Through the Global Market e-commerce platform, we aim to make it easier for companies to reach international companies by digitizing their products and coding them with keywords in virtual clusters. Within the scope of the project, the goal is to initially introduce companies with existing products and/or production capacity to the international market, create demand for these companies in foreign markets to enable them to export, and help exporting companies grow and increase their existing potential. OSTIM companies, with their existing product diversity, machine capacity, and long history, will be pioneers and role models for this project.
“EXPORT CAPABILITIES WILL BE INCREASED”
Büşra Öçal/Project Foreign Trade Specialist: Within the scope of the project, we aim to identify the export potential of each company by assigning a foreign trade specialist to each firm, reporting this potential to the company, and transforming it into an action plan to increase their export capabilities. In this process, we aim to address knowledge gaps and increase growth potential by providing foreign trade training to the companies.
What will be done as part of the project?
A field and support office team will gather information by researching companies and products, both through on-site visits and online research.
Companies will be informed about the methods and importance of creating product names, short descriptions, and keywords. Basic training will be initiated in this context.
Companies will be asked to provide keywords related to their activities and products.
The collected information will be analyzed by experts and adapted to the target foreign markets. Both company informatics specialists and copywriters will work on this stage.
The created texts will be translated online by translators into English, Russian, and other relevant languages.
After creating product texts, images, and other descriptive information, SEO efforts, Google AdWords, and other advertising campaigns will be launched to attract foreign visitors.
International messages and orders will be directed to companies through the system's message management and communication capabilities.
