Ostim Teknopark A.Ş. held its 2022 Ordinary General Assembly in the OSTİM OSB Conference Hall.

OSTİM Technical University Rector Prof. Dr. Murat Yülek was unanimously elected as the Chair of the General Assembly, and Başkent University Faculty of Engineering Dean Prof. Dr. Berna Dengiz was elected as the Secretary of the Assembly.

180 new products in 2022

Ostim Technopark General Manager Dr. Derya Çağlar described the park's activities in 2022. She stated that the technopark companies launched more than 180 new products in 2022 and also provided information about the Prota Technology Production Workshop and the INNO: 14 Accelerator Center.

General Manager Çağlar noted that in 2022, 177 active R&D firms were continuing 250 R&D projects in Ostim Technopark, and that the technopark firms benefited from 125 million TL in tax exemptions in 2022, made 200 million TL in R&D expenditures, generated 319 million TL in R&D revenue, and achieved 2.5 million dollars in exports.

Çağlar stated that INNO: 14 has 25 active companies, 15 of which are incubator companies, carrying out 34 R&D projects, adding, "R&D revenue is 12 million TL, exports are 600 thousand dollars, and the amount of tax exemption our companies benefit from is 800 thousand TL."

Reminding that the new law allows technoparks to establish incubation centers outside their zones, Derya Çağlar said, “We are the 3rd technopark in Turkey to open an incubation center outside the zone. Our off-zone incubation center will serve 18 incubator companies.”

Çağlar stated that they had successfully completed the year 2022, and noted that according to the 2021 Performance Index of R&D and Design Centers and Technology Development Zones organized by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, Ostim Technopark ranked first in the Early Stage Technology Development Zones category and received the award from the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mr. Mustafa Varank.

Çağlar said, "Our main motivation is not to expect appreciation, but to strive to do our job well and beautifully."

Following the presentation of the activity report, it was discussed and unanimously approved.

Harun Akgül, the Head of Administrative and Financial Affairs at Ostim Technopark and a Certified Public Accountant, also presented the 2022 balance sheet and income statement. Both the balance sheet and income statement were unanimously approved after discussions. The Ostim Technopark Board of Directors was also unanimously acquitted.

Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OSTİM and Ostim Technopark, reminded the university partners that they could act as an interface between universities and industry by taking a more active role in Ostim Technopark. Aydın said, “I would like to thank all the universities that have partnered with companies in our Technopark, our OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Management, and all our staff, especially Ms. Derya, for their contributions to our Technopark.”
