Deputy Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer, Director General of Vocational and Technical Education Prof. Dr. Kemal Varın Numanoğlu, and Ankara Provincial Director of National Education Turan Akpınar visited OSTİM.
OSTİM Board Chairman Orhan Aydın briefed the delegation on the institutions located in OSTİM that provide vocational training. Aydın also presented his suggestions regarding vocational training to Deputy Minister Mahmut Özer.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited the OSTİM Vocational Training Center. Center Director Şerafettin Ali Gürüler gave the delegation a tour of the school and provided information about the ongoing training activities. Gürüler explained that students at the OSTİM Vocational Training Center learn their professions through practical application and that 95% of them are employed by companies upon graduation.
The necessary support will be provided.
Deputy Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer noted that the OSTİM Vocational Training Center fulfills a very important function. During his visit to the center, the Deputy Minister toured the classrooms and workshops, assessing the facilities and needs on site.
Expressing his satisfaction with the situation at the OSTİM Vocational Training Center, the Deputy Minister thanked the center's administrators and educators. Highlighting the importance of vocational training, Özer stated that they would provide the necessary support to the OSTİM Vocational Training Center to make it a model for vocational training in Turkey.
OSTİM Vocational Training Center was ranked among the top 50 out of 801 institutions nationwide in the revolving fund revenue generation ranking announced by the Ministry of National Education.
