The Vocational Aptitude Competition, organized for the first time this year as part of the Teknofest technology competitions, was held under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and with the mentorship of Organized Industrial Zones, aiming to build a bridge between education, production and the sector.
The competition, which showcased technical skills in five categories including electricity, energy, automation, manufacturing, and electronics, was mentored by OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone, Adana Hacı Sabancı Organized Industrial Zone, Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone, Konya Organized Industrial Zone, and Manisa Organized Industrial Zone. In the competition, students demonstrated their technical knowledge, manual dexterity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in tasks based on real-world business scenarios.
The category of the competition for Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School students, focusing on Solar Power Panel Installation, was organized under the mentorship of OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone.
OSTİM OSB, which played an active role in the design and structuring of the competition, also selected the jury members from within its own ecosystem.
In the GES category, where nearly 90 Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School teams from all over Türkiye competed, 10 teams that advanced from the semi-finals competed in the final.
This year, five technical competitions were held under the title "Vocational Skills Competition." Nearly 90 teams applied to the Solar Energy Systems (GES) Panel Installation competition, mentored by OSTİM OSB, which was open to students from Vocational and Technical High Schools. Following evaluations, 10 talented teams reached the finals. The teams competed to design a solar panel from scratch using the materials provided, generate energy, and prove its feasibility in an energy source.
Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır and Teknofest Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar visited each team individually, received information about their work, and congratulated them.
In the competition final, the following teams competed: 2 teams from Cezeri Green Technology Vocational High School in Ankara, 2 teams from OSTİM OSB Technical College, 1 team from Şanlıurfa Cezeri Academy and Technology Vocational High School, 1 team from Denizli Businessmen Vocational High School, 2 teams from Teknobil Denizli Technical College, 1 team from Burdur Karamanlı Vocational High School, and 1 team from Adana Piri Reis Anatolian High School.
Following the jury's evaluations, OSTİM OSB Regional Manager Adem Arıcı announced the winning teams.
In the evaluation, the Cezeri Energy team from Ankara Cezeri Green Technology Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School came first, the Sunenergy team from OSTİM OSB Technical College came second, and the C-Solar team from Ankara Cezeri Green Technology Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School came third.
The awards for the top 3 finalist teams were presented by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Muhammet Kasım Gönüllü, Teknofest Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar, and KOSGEB President Ahmet Serdar İbrahimcioğlu.
OSTİM OSB Special Award goes to Denizli team
The Laodikya Sun System team from Denizli Businessmen's Vocational High School, which successfully completed the competition but did not place in the top 3, was awarded the OSTİM OSB Special Award.
Teknofest 2025 OSTİM OSB panel was held
A panel was held at OSTİM OSB as part of the Teknofest Vocational Skills Competition. Moderated by Mustafa Kürşat Şahiner, Manager of the OSTİM OSB Green Transformation and Sustainability Office, the panel featured OSTİM OSB Regional Manager Adem Arıcı and Prof. Dr. Demiral Akbar, a faculty member at the OSTİM Technical University Engineering Faculty, who shared their views on young people's access to industry and vocational skills.
OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Manager Adem Arıcı shared OSTİM's work in the field of vocational and technical education. Describing OSTİM's support for vocational and technical education in the field of renewable energy technologies, Arıcı stated that they have supported the Cezeri Green Technology Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Ankara since its establishment, and that the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Technical College also trains qualified technical personnel needed by the sector in the field of Renewable Energy Technologies.
Prof. Dr. Demiral Akbar noted that OSTİM Technical University, in collaboration with the business world, trains experienced new graduates.

OSTİM OSB Regional Manager Adem Arıcı noted that they provided all the equipment the students needed for the competition. Explaining that they handled the system setups for the teams, from the cell to the panel, and until the panel stage, until it became capable of generating electricity, Arıcı said, “Our students are extremely happy to be at Teknofest. Their horizons have broadened, and they say they will prepare even more for future competitions. Seeing the students' excitement has thrilled us as well.”
Arıcı noted that they collaborated with many institutions and organizations during the competition preparation process, and continued: “We would like to express our gratitude to our Ministry of Industry and Technology and the OSTİM OSB Board of Directors for providing OSTİM OSB with the opportunity to be a mentor at Teknofest, to all the schools, teams, and teachers participating in the competition, to Assoc. Dr. İsmail Nakir from Yıldız Technical University, Prof. Dr. Demiral Akbar from OSTİM Technical University, Turgut Tunç, our OSTİM OSB Energy Manager, who meticulously conducted the evaluation processes as a jury, to Sunlego Energy Systems Inc., which provided significant support in the supply of competition equipment, to Ali Emre Kayan, our teacher at OSTİM OSB Technical College, who provided support in the technical processes, to Mustafa Kürşat Şahiner, our OSTİM OSB Green Transformation and Sustainability Office Manager, who successfully completed all coordination on the OSTİM side, and to everyone who contributed. We wholeheartedly believe that the Teknofest Vocational Talent Competition will continue with increasing enthusiasm in the coming years.”
OSTİMTECH returns from Teknofest with a championship title
The BMB TECH team from OSTİM Technical University surpassed all its competitors in the Teknofest Smart Transportation Competition, winning the championship and also receiving the best presentation award.
The team, advised by Murat Tunçel, consists of Burak Vergi, a 4th-year Computer Engineering student, as Team Leader-System Administrator; Mustafa Mahmut Şen, a 4th-year Artificial Intelligence Engineering student, as Artificial Intelligence Models and Software Administrator; and Bertan Uzar, a 4th-year Artificial Intelligence Engineering student, as Project Budget Management and Software Administrator.
The BMB TECH team won both First Place and the Best Presentation award with their "Eagle Eye Advanced Vision Driving Assistant" project, which aims to prevent loss of life and property in adverse weather conditions.
