Following the Ohangaron Tech Industrial Zone, which was designed using the OSTİM model, OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Chairman Orhan Aydın, OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Manager Adem Arıcı, and OSTİM Industrial Investments and Operations Inc. General Manager Abdullah Çörtü met with Tashkent Deputy Governor Sharof D. Rakhmanov in Uzbekistan to discuss requests for the establishment of new industrial zones in the country using the OSTİM model.
Deputy Governor Rakhmanov provided information on the general socio-economic situation and industrialization of Tashkent.
OSTİM management also provided information about OSTİM's general structure, operation, institutions, and the OSTİM model.
During the meeting, where views were exchanged regarding new collaborations, information was also provided about Ohangaron Tech Industrial. OSTİM's Uzbekistan programs and bilateral cooperation discussions carried out in the last two years were also recalled.
At the meeting where new working topics were identified, there was a consensus that these topics would be focused on in the near future and that collaborations would be increased.
OSTİM OSB Board Chairman Orhan Aydın presented the Deputy Governor of Tashkent with a copy of "The Lost Enlightenment: From the Arab Conquests to Timur - The Golden Age of Central Asia," a book by American author S. Frederick Starr that recounts Central Asia's world-renowned development in science and technology. Chairman Aydın requested that the book be translated into Uzbek so that it could be made available for reading by everyone, especially government officials.
