A consultation meeting to share the past year's activities was held in Ankara by OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone. The meeting, which brought together opinion leaders from OSTİM, evaluated the services of the Organized Industrial Zone and gathered expectations for 2016.
The Consultative Meeting, traditionally organized every year by OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone to review the year's activities with collective wisdom, was held with a large turnout.
“Our aim is to make our companies competitive”
Addressing the participants at the meeting, OSTİM Board Chairman Orhan Aydın stated that the satisfaction of industrialists is valuable to them. Describing Organized Industrial Zones as the industrialized version of municipal services, Aydın pointed out that effectiveness, efficiency, and customer focus in services are very valuable.
Chairman Aydın stated, “As an organizational structure, we are ambitious. We are aware of the importance of our region. What is done here concerns other regions in Turkey as well. Our goal is to make our companies competitive. The flexibility, dynamism, and innovative aspect of small businesses should not be underestimated.”
Stating that they wanted to plan 2016 together with the stakeholders, Orhan Aydın said, “We have drafts and plans. We don't want to do this alone. We want to include your collective wisdom and ideas that will contribute to our region for the future. We have an influence on public policies in our country. We are the first region in Turkey to carry out clustering activities. We are actively working on this. We are aware that it is a great achievement in terms of the progress we have made.”
“We must set our goals together” Following Aydın, OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Manager Adem Arıcı presented the 2015 activities. Arıcı said, “Together with our industrialists in the region, we need to set our goals together with a common understanding. We are all working to bring OSTİM to better levels. This group are the opinion leaders of OSTİM. We hope that the work done together with them will yield important results. We will plan 2016 with the feedback we receive from them.”
The second part of the Consultation Meeting consisted of a workshop where services were evaluated and the work requested for 2016 was discussed.
