“We received very positive feedback”
Speaking at the opening of the meeting where the 2017 activities and the 2018 work program were shared, OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Manager Adem Arıcı stated that OSTİM, with its 50 years of production experience, focuses on national goals in design, production, branding, and competition. Arıcı said that the consultation meeting guides the work done in the region, adding, “Every year in January, we hold a consultation meeting to present you with an account of the previous year and our plans for the coming year. In recent years, we have received very positive feedback from these meetings. We have tried to make our work plans in line with your opinions and to fulfill all requests. This work contributes extremely well to us.”
Adem Arıcı continued his speech by presenting the activities of the Regional Directorate units in 2017 and the projects planned for 2018.
“OSTİM is a valuable organization”
OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın pointed out the importance of collective wisdom in shaping the activities of OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone. Underlining that they expect contributions not only from the Board of Directors, Supervisory Board, and delegates, but also from all stakeholders in the region when planning for 2018, Chairman Aydın stated, “We are trying to find answers to questions such as: What should we do, how should we do it, and with whom? What else can we do that is new? We have a Board of Directors, a Supervisory Board, and delegates who manage our region, but we don't consider this sufficient. We want to enrich our future plans by obtaining contributions from the stakeholders we serve in our environment. We are striving to leave nothing incomplete. As they say, two heads are better than one. Consultation is important; we want to benefit from collective wisdom.”
Stating that they monitor customer satisfaction throughout the year and that criticism is important to them, Orhan Aydın said, “OSTİM is a valuable organization. Production, employment, our companies, and increasing their competitiveness are very important to us. What hasn't been done, what hasn't occurred to us, how can we improve these things? I want to emphasize that we need your collective wisdom.”
Following the presentations, participants shared their views. A workshop was also held during the meeting to clarify expectations regarding services in the Organized Industrial Zone.
