OSTİM Technical University, the first university established in Türkiye's industrial zone, held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new campus. The ceremony was attended by the OSTİM Foundation Board of Trustees, the OSTİM Technical University Board of Trustees, the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Board of Directors, and academics. This significant step, bringing together the worlds of industry and education, will strengthen OSTİM Technical University's future successes.
Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the OSTİM Board of Directors and Chairman of the OSTİM Technical University Board of Trustees, wished the new campus area to be beneficial for OSTİM and OSTİM Technical University. Aydın reminded that the Ostim Technopark Technology Development Zone is located next to the campus area, and noted that once the campus construction is completed, the area will become an important education and technology campus.
A Campus Dedicated to Modern Education and Technology
The new campus will be built on plot 4, parcel 4 of block 42710 in the industrial zone and will house critical structures of the university such as the Faculty of Engineering, the Vocational School, and the library. The total construction area of the campus is planned as 46,632.57 square meters, and the footprint as 6,672.03 square meters.
Advanced Facilities for Education and Research
The campus will include 93 classrooms, 22 laboratories, 60 offices, 2 shops, and a total of 4 lecture halls (with capacities of 96 and 203 people) to meet modern educational needs. While the educational spaces are designed to be spacious and airy, great importance has also been given to green areas. The campus will feature 10,630.19 square meters of green space and 2,059 square meters of rooftop green space.
This new campus will further advance OSTİM Technical University's entrepreneurial, innovative, and third-generation education approach integrated with industry, and will continue to add value to our country with technology and innovation-based education.
