Ostim Technopark Inc. has taken a new step towards university-industry collaboration. Through a protocol signed with Çankaya Technology Transfer Office (TTO), member companies will work towards commercializing products in areas such as patents, utility models, and industrial designs.
The protocol aims to maximize mutual benefits in university-industry collaboration, the development of a tech entrepreneurship culture, and technology transfer activities by sharing knowledge and expertise.
The protocol, signed by Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ostim Teknopark A.Ş., and Prof. Dr. Can Çoğun, Rector of Çankaya University, will facilitate mutual exchange of views on project activities, services related to benefiting from support programs, matchmaking, management and licensing services of intellectual property rights, entrepreneurship and company formation, and will ensure the enhancement of institutional competencies through joint activities and events.
Çankaya TTO and Ostim Technopark will also be able to exchange views on project activities, matchmaking, intellectual property rights, technology entrepreneurship, and company formation (startup/spinoff).
The agreement, which allows for the joint organization of various event activities such as project markets, matchmaking events, exhibitions, and fairs, will facilitate mutual access to resources, business connections, and technopark services for the development of technology entrepreneurship.
Çankaya TTO will facilitate the commercialization of intellectual property rights, such as patents, utility models, and industrial designs owned by the university, through licensing and transfer agreements with companies located within Ostim Technopark.

Çankaya University Rector Prof. Dr. Can Çoğun stated that the protocol is an extension of the long-standing close cooperation between OSTİM and their institution.
Rector Çoğun stated, "As Çankaya University, we believe that joint project applications, shared use of expert pools, university-industry collaboration-based matching, intellectual and industrial property rights, techno-entrepreneurship, and company establishment efforts under this cooperation protocol will be beneficial for both parties."

With the hope that the signed protocol will contribute to the industrial development of our university, Ostim Technopark, and our country, we will continue our joint efforts with all our strength."

Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ostim Technopark Inc., also drew attention to the history of their collaborations with Çankaya University. Emphasizing the importance of university-industry collaboration in the production of high value-added and technological products, Aydın explained that Ostim Technopark stands out with its structure stemming from within the industry, and stated that they wanted Çankaya University to be a point of contact there as well.
Aydın, highlighting that Çankaya University is one of the partners in Ostim Technopark, which was established through a partnership of 7 universities, said, "We are signing this protocol to further develop our cooperation, and we hope it will be beneficial."
