The grand event under the auspices of the Undersecretariat of Defence Industries (SSM) is just days away. The Industrial Cooperation Days in Defence and Aerospace (ICDDA), organized by the OSTİM Defence and Aerospace Cluster (OSSA), will take place in Ankara from October 11-13, 2016. Industry giants such as BOEING, AIRBUS, SIKORSKY, and EADS will be present in full force.
The countdown has begun for the Industrial Cooperation Days in Defence and Aerospace 2016 (ICDDA’16), where global giants of the defence and aerospace sectors will come to meet with Turkish companies in the sector and conduct bilateral business meetings.
The event will open its doors for the third time in Ankara between October 11-13, 2016, under the auspices of the Undersecretariat of Defence Industry and organized by the OSTİM Defence and Aerospace Cluster (OSSA).
At the ATO/Congresium Congress Center, ICDDA16, where global players and Turkish SMEs will meet at the same table, will begin with a conference on "A Panorama of the Defense, Aerospace and Offset Market in Turkey." Invited participants will have the opportunity to hold bilateral business meetings on the second and third days. The event will also include workshops on original equipment manufacturers' purchasing processes and supply chain policies.
Our sponsor family has expanded.
In 2014, this massive event, which saw the participation of over 250 global companies from 34 countries and facilitated 4,800 registered one-on-one business meetings, was joined this year by DASSAULT SYSTEMES, OTOKAR, and ISTANBUL TEKNOPARK, in addition to previous sponsors TAI, ASELSAN, HAVELSAN, ROKETSAN, FNSS, TEI, MKE, and SSI. Supported by major industrial companies such as OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone, Ankara Chamber of Industry, Ankara Development Agency, and SASAD, as well as numerous institutions and organizations, ICDDA16, which has quickly become one of the most important events in the sector in Turkey, is expected to attract hundreds of companies from many countries and facilitate over 4,000 bilateral business meetings.
Boeing, Airbus, Sikorsky, Eads, Thales, Rolls-Royce, Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, MBDA, Augusta Westland, Aircraft Philipp Group, Raytheon, Daher, Navantia, Thyssenkrupp, Ideal Aerosmith, Triumph Group, Powell, Stella, Kongsberg, and AirConsult, along with various international clusters in the defense and aerospace sector, will be fully represented at ICDDA from October 11-13. Furthermore, in addition to previous years, this year's Industrial Cooperation Days in Defense and Aerospace will focus on Homeland Security, and many procurement representatives will also be attending.
The Undersecretariat of Defence Industries, believing that the organization will create an important environment, also fully supports the event, believing it will be a technology platform that allows local and international companies to establish new business networks and seize collaboration opportunities. OSSA, which manages the organization, has been operating since 2008 with the aim of increasing the share of domestic production in meeting the needs of the defence and aerospace sectors and making its member SMEs competitive in the international market.
