The 2022 Ordinary General Assembly of OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone was held in the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Conference Hall with the participation of representatives from the cooperatives participating in OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone.
Following a moment of silence and the recitation of the National Anthem, Sıtkı Öztuna, Deputy Chairman of the OSTİM OSB Board of Directors, was unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Assembly, and Evren Bulut, President of Gül 86 Cooperative, was unanimously elected as a member of the Assembly Board.
Ankara Provincial Director of Industry and Technology, Muhammed Polat, attended the General Assembly.
An ecosystem has been created.
Speaking to the General Assembly at the opening, Orhan Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone, noted that OSTİM is a region that has left its mark on Ankara's industry.
Aydın emphasized that structures similar to OSTİM originated from cooperatives, stating, "Our similar establishments were founded as housing cooperatives, delivered the buildings, and then ceased operations. In OSTİM, we continued these structures to create an ecosystem."
Pointing out that all the necessary institutions for businesses to thrive are in place in OSTİM, Mayor Aydın stated, "We established a technology development zone to contribute to increasing the technological level of companies. This year, our Ostim Technopark ranked first in Turkey."
“Defense industry companies prefer to locate in OSTİM”
Aydın emphasized the importance of the production and technology development ecosystem in OSTİM, stating, "OSTİM is a place where solutions to all problems can be found as an ecosystem. That's why it's preferred. Defense industry companies choose to locate in OSTİM to utilize the ecosystem. OSTİM is not just a physical space; it's a complementary area with the ability to act together."
Stating that they have carried out projects that will serve as a model for other Organized Industrial Zones, Orhan Aydın explained that they host 7 clusters in the business and construction machinery, defense and aerospace, medical, renewable energy, rail systems, rubber, and communication sectors.
Aydın stated that OSTİM Technical University represents a significant transformation in the perception of the region, adding: "Nearly half of our 6,000 students are international students. We are working to match these students with our companies so that they can represent our companies' products in their home countries."
Recalling the work done in OSTİM after the earthquake, Mayor Aydın said, "OSTİM passed a very important test during the earthquake. Our work regarding our earthquake-affected citizens continues. We thank the people of OSTİM who provided support."
OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Manager Adem Arıcı read the 2022 activity report and the 2023 work program.
Süleyman Eser, a member of the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Supervisory Board, read the supervisory board report.
OSTİM OSB Financial and Administrative Affairs Manager Mustafa Ayvaz read the balance sheet and income and expenditure accounts.
Certified Public Accountant and Independent Auditor Halit Küçükçelik read the Certified Public Accountant Audit and Certification Report of the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Directorate.
The activity report, work plan, income and expenditure accounts, audit committee report, and independent audit committee report were discussed and unanimously approved.
