A 'Turkish-Speaking Entrepreneurs Office' has opened in OSTİM. This office, which will serve as a bridge between the Turkic world and Türkiye, will assist business people who wish to conduct commercial activities with our country.

As part of the Turkish-Speaking Entrepreneurs Program, organized for the 21st time this year by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), more than 40 entrepreneurs from 25 countries visited OSTİM. Guests from various sectors in the Turkic world held bilateral business meetings and conducted inspections at OSTİM companies.

6,200 businesses, 60,000 employees

During the first part of the OSTİM tour, guests were given information about the region by Adem Arıcı, the Regional Manager of OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone. Arıcı noted that they support TOBB's organization every year and are working to ensure its continued expansion, stating, “OSTİM was established in 1967. The mission defined at that time was not only regional but also focused on creating an industrial zone that would serve the surrounding geography and the Middle East. As of today, our region hosts 139 business lines in 17 different sectors, employing 60,000 people in 6,200 businesses operating in an area of 5 million square meters. Clustering activities are carried out in 7 sectors. The two technoparks in OSTİM cooperate with all universities in Ankara and the surrounding region.”

“We are at the service of the Turkic world 24/7”

OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın emphasized the importance of relations with the Turkic world and the historical ties between them. Highlighting the benefits of the Turkish-Speaking Entrepreneurs Program, Aydın stated that all connections with the Turkic world would be facilitated through the office in OSTİM.

Orhan Aydın made the following statement: “Through this office we opened in OSTİM, we will now maintain all our contacts and connections with the Turkic world through the staff we will assign here. This is the liaison office for the Turkic world. We are designating this as a center where our friends from the Turkic world can establish contact with Turkey. As the OSTİM team, we are ready to work and cooperate with them in all their endeavors. We will be at their service 24/7 and work together with our team.”

OSTİM is a fine example of competition and solidarity.

Altındağ Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Asım Balcı also participated in the OSTİM program for Turkish-speaking entrepreneurs. Balcı stated that OSTİM is the jewel of Ankara's industry. Recalling that many large businesses seen around Ankara originated in OSTİM, Mayor Balcı said, “Many entrepreneurs who were born and reached a certain point here later went on to establish even larger businesses around Ankara and even throughout Turkey. Therefore, we can also consider this place as an incubation center.”

Describing OSTİM as a fine example of competition and solidarity, Asım Balcı said: “I find your presence here very important. OSTİM is one of Ankara's outward-facing faces. Therefore, it is a place we also attach great importance to. OSTİM is truly a place where you can learn a lot, and when you return to your own countries, you can transfer much of the knowledge and expertise you have gained from here. I believe that the development of this relationship and your close contact with OSTİM is very important.”

Entrepreneurs from the Turkic world who participated in the program expressed their gratitude for the office opened in OSTİM and stated that they wanted to develop future collaborations.
