OSTİM Global Project and Technology Inc. and OSTİM Global Turkish Classification Board, in cooperation with the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, organized the "Uzbekistan - Turkey OSTİM Business Forum" with the theme "New Opportunities for Turkish and Uzbek Business Worlds".
The Forum, which began with speeches by Aliev Akram Zairovich, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Tashkent, Dr. Olgan Bekar; the Deputy Governor of Tashkent, Sharipov Najmiddinxo’ja Shuxratovich; the Deputy Governor of Ankara, Cihangir Güler; the Director General of International Services Trade of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, Tarık Sönmez; the Head of Department at the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdurahmanov Inomjon Abdug'anievich; the President of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce, Gürsel Baran; the President of the Ankara Chamber of Industry, Seyit Ardıç; the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Rasulov Dilshod Ozodovich; the Mayor of Beypazarı, Dr. Özer Kasap; the Chairman of the Board of Directors of OSTİM, Orhan Aydın; the Vice Chairman of OSTİM, Sıtkı Öztuna; the President of the Turkey-Uzbekistan Business Council of the Foreign Economic Relations Board, Özgür Onur Özgüven; the Regional Manager of OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone, Adem Arıcı; and representatives of the Turkish and Uzbek business world.
Turkish Ambassador to Tashkent, Bekar, emphasized that the OSTİM ecosystem model has become a model application in Uzbekistan.
Aliev Akram Zairovich, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, also spoke about the privileges granted to foreign investors in Uzbekistan and the advantages provided by the preferential trade agreement signed between Turkey and Uzbekistan.
OSTİM Board Chairman Orhan Aydın provided information about the Uzbek-Turkish Organized Industrial Zone. Aydın said, “First, we will create the infrastructure. Training centers, management centers, and R&D centers will be established. An ecosystem will be created with structures that will improve the foreign trade, technology, and training of companies, based on their common needs.”

Ankara Chamber of Commerce President Gürsel Baran stated that they witnessed a valuable result of the joint efforts of the private sectors of Türkiye and Uzbekistan.
Stating that OSTİM is the apple of Ankara's eye, Baran said, "First of all, I must state that OSTİM is an Organized Industrial Zone that is the apple of the eye not only of Ankara but of our entire country. From its establishment to the present day, the progress it has made, its efforts towards the development of its members, and finally, the university it has established, make it an exemplary structure."
Baran stated that the knowledge and experience of OSTİM (Osmaniye Exporters Association) will flow to Uzbekistan through the Uzbek-Turkish Organized Industrial Zone, adding: “The Uzbek-Turkish Organized Industrial Zone, for which land allocations are currently being made, will form the lifeblood of the Central Asian economy after its completion in approximately two to three years. Therefore, the Uzbek-Turkish Organized Industrial Zone is not only a production center; it is a center of a vision and a future. I believe that the presence of Turkish investors who produce high-quality products will make a great contribution to Uzbekistan, and will give impetus to Uzbekistan's trade and industry with their entrepreneurial spirit, production and export experience.”
A major contribution to economic development
Ankara Chamber of Industry President Seyit Ardıç emphasized that OSTİM is an important center that develops the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Ardıç stated, “OSTİM’s strongest asset is its strong culture of cooperation and solidarity. I congratulate the entire OSTİM Board of Directors, especially President Orhan Aydın, for their efforts in transferring Ankara’s experience in Organized Industrial Zones to the Turkish and Islamic world. Transferring our country’s strong industrial infrastructure and OSTİM’s extensive experience and expertise to Uzbekistan will not only strengthen trade and industrial relations between our countries but will also make a significant contribution to the economic development of the region.”
Tarık Sönmez, Director General of International Services Trade at the Turkish Ministry of Trade, provided information about trade between Türkiye and Uzbekistan.
Sönmez stated that in 2023, Turkey's service exports to Uzbekistan increased by 15.6% compared to the previous year, reaching $677 million, and added, "With the contributions of the Uzbek-Turkish Industrial Zone, whose establishment work has begun based on the principle of applying our country's industrial zone concept in Uzbekistan, I believe that we will take our investments and cooperation in Uzbekistan to much higher levels in the coming years."
OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Manager and Uzbekistan Project Coordinator, Senior Architect Adem Arıcı, provided information about the advantages offered to investors by the Uzbek-Turkish Organized Industrial Zone.
At the end of the forum, Aliev Akram Zairovich, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, presented certificates of appreciation to the participants. On behalf of OSTİM Global Turkish Classification Board, OSTİM Chairman Orhan Aydın also presented plaques to the forum participants.
Following the forum, 42 Turkish companies representing a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, electronics, software, communications, business and construction machinery, defense industry, medical, energy, mining, and construction, participated in B2B bilateral business meetings with Uzbek businesspeople to discuss trade opportunities, as planned by the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Foreign Trade Coordination Office.
The Uzbek-Turkish Organized Industrial Zone management and sales office was officially opened with a ceremony.
The opening ceremony of the Uzbek-Turkish Organized Industrial Zone Management Office, which is rapidly being built on a 100-hectare area allocated to OSTİM Global Project and Technology Inc. in Tashkent by the decree of the Presidency of Uzbekistan, was held.
