OSTİM Board Chairman Orhan Aydın, OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Regional Manager Adem Arıcı, ARUS Coordinator Dr. İlhami Pektaş, paid a congratulatory visit to Dr. Veysel Yayan, who was appointed to the position of Undersecretary of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey.
During the visit, OSTİM Chairman Aydın, who spoke about the projects in the region, invited Undersecretary Yayan to the area. Aydın stated that as a region, they are ready to contribute to the steps that will be taken with a focus on domestic and national development in the path of Türkiye's progress.
Veysel Yayan, who emphasized the importance of domestic and national industry and stated that he is well acquainted with OSTİM, also conveyed the message, "My door is wide open to you."

Dr. Veysel Yayan, known to the public for his successful work as Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence Industries and at the Turkish Steel Producers Association (TÇÜD), was appointed Undersecretary of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology with the appointment decision published in the Official Gazette on September 25, 2017.
Yayan began his professional life in 1976 as a rapporteur at the General Secretariat of Foreign Trade (DTM) of the Ministry of Trade. Subsequently, he served in various capacities at the State Planning Organization, including as an expert, Head of the Labor Life Sector, and at the Undersecretariat of Defense Industry, holding positions ranging from Department Head to Undersecretary.
Following a 22-year public service career between 1976 and 1998, Veysel Yayan was appointed Secretary General of the Turkish Iron and Steel Producers Association in 1998. In addition to this role, he has also served as a board member of SEDEFED, İMSAD, and the Structural Steel Association, as Chairman of the Board of the Building Research Association, and since 2006, as Chairman of the Iron and Non-Ferrous Metals Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).
