• Zhaparov: “We want to implement the OSTİM model in #Kyrgyzstan as well”
Akylbek Zhaparov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, who came to Turkey for a series of meetings, visited OSTİM as part of his program. The visiting statesman noted that they wanted to benefit from Turkey's experience, saying, "We want to implement the OSTİM model in Kyrgyzstan as well; we would like to see such a region established around a city."
Akylbek Zhaparov received detailed information about the region during his visit to OSTİM. At a meeting held in the OSTİM Conference Hall, Zhaparov listened to presentations about the OSTİM ecosystem, its institutions, and projects.
"As a region, we are ready to do everything we can."
OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Board Chairman Orhan Aydın stated that he and a group of OSTİM businesspeople visited Kyrgyzstan in 2021. Pointing out that they cooperate on the construction of Organized Industrial Zones in nearly 22 countries, Aydın said, “We also intend to conduct further work related to the region. We are ready to do whatever we can for you. OSTİM is a region with unique characteristics in Turkey. We have shared values and numerous opportunities for mutual exchange. As a region, we are ready to do everything we can to develop these. OSTİM is a region where almost everything related to the establishment of a city or a region is done from end to end.”

Akylbek Zhaparov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, thanked OSTİM for its hospitality. Zhaparov said, “I was in OSTİM in 1993. I especially wanted to come again this time. When I asked our ambassador about OSTİM, he said the region had grown and developed. Many things have changed since then.”
Emphasizing their desire to benefit from Turkey's experiences, Akylbek Zhaparov shared the following views: “Kyrgyzstan needs development in all areas. Our President, Sadyr Japarov, attaches great importance to direct investments and says, ‘We must do everything to develop investments and industrial zones.’ We have a free economic zone near an airport in our country. We want to implement the OSTİM model in Kyrgyzstan as well; we would like to see such a zone established around a city. If you would advise us, we would like to establish a similar zone. I personally want to deal with this matter.”
Akylbek Zhaparov and his delegation also conducted inspections at the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone Technical College as part of their visit program.
