WHAT IS TANAP?
The aim of the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline Project (TANAP) is to transport the natural gas produced in Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz 2 Gas Field in the Caspian Sea and other fields in the south of the Caspian Sea primarily to Turkey and then to Europe. With this project, natural gas is produced in approximately 1,850 km of pipelines, which includes all underground and surface facilities in the Republic of Turkey, of which 1,831 km is underground and 19 km passes the Sea of Marmara under the sea. long (in Turkey) natural gas pipeline will be transported. The total project cost is 45 billion dollars. These facilities start from the Turkey – Georgia border and pass through 20 cities (Ardahan, Kars, Erzurum, Erzincan, Bayburt, Gümüşhane, Giresun, Sivas, Yozgat, Kırşehir, Kırıkkale, Ankara, Eskişehir, Bilecik, Kütahya, Bursa, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, Tekirdağ and Edirne) will end at the exit point on the Turkey-Greece border.

With the Host Government Agreement, TANAP is committed to developing and implementing the Company's Social and Environmental Investment Programme, which aims to fulfill the Company's obligations under Corporate Responsibility in the cities along the pipeline.
