Perıodıc Controls Of Pressure Vessels

In the Annex-III of the Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in the Use of Work Equipment and Matters Regarding Maintenance, Repair and Periodic Control, the inspection criteria, methods, periods of work equipment and the authorization of the persons who will carry out the inspection are described.

CKN Makina Mühendislik, meets the requirements of the regulation with its expert inspection personnel, looks at the enterprises as a third eye in an independent and impartial manner and reports its experience and the status of your equipment according to the relevant standards.

Hydrostatic testing is essential in pressure vessels as a basic principle. These tests are performed with 1.5 times the operating pressure and for periods not exceeding one year, unless otherwise stated in the standards.

If it is not determined by the manufacturer, the periodic control of the work equipment is carried out at intervals to be determined according to the results of the risk assessment to be made, taking into account factors such as the workplace environment conditions, frequency of use and duration of use.

(1) Safety valves in LPG tanks are checked and tested every 5 years.
(2) Portable or fixed compressor air tanks and all kinds of vessels containing compressed air and their fixed equipment.
(3) Hydrostatic pressure test at each stage of compressors that make gradual compression is carried out with 1.5 times the maximum allowable pressure of the compressed air tanks and their fixed equipment at that stage.
(4) Hazardous liquids: liquids that are corrosive or harmful to health.
(5) Non-destructive testing methods are used.

(*) For pressure equipment whose periodic control times are determined based on API 510 standard; Periodic control periods determined within the framework of risk assessment and management, taking into account the content (pressure and similar) losses in the pressure equipment and the deteriorations caused by reasons such as corrosion, should not exceed half of the remaining life of the equipment and in any case five years.
(**) For the periodic control criteria, the standards specified in the table are given as an example, and the relevant standards that are not mentioned here or published after the publication date of the Regulation should also be taken into account.
