Occupational Safety Law
The Law, which is in effect in our country, is the 'Occupational Safety Law No. 6331'.
In the 1st article of the regulation of the Occupational Safety Law No. 6331 on the way of working, the purpose of this Law is; To regulate the duties, authorities, responsibilities, rights and obligations of employers and employees in order to ensure occupational health and safety at workplaces and to improve existing health and safety conditions.
For this purpose, occupational safety specialists are also certified and their work is mandatory.

Obligation to Have an Occupational Safety Specialist
1) For workplaces employing more than 50 workers, the obligation to employ an occupational physician and occupational safety specialist started on 01.01.2013.
2) 01.07.2017 for workplaces and public institutions in the less dangerous class employing less than 50 workers,
3) Workplaces that are classified as dangerous and very dangerous, employing less than 50 workers, are required to have an occupational physician and occupational safety specialist after 01.01.2014.

Occupational safety specialists basically;

Establishing an Occupational Health and Safety Board, attending board meetings and monitoring the implementation of the decisions taken in the board. Following up the Emergency and Emergency Action Organization.

Making a list of corrective and preventive actions and making necessary studies

Updating and controlling risk analysis.

Establishment of emergency teams and determination of their duties.

Providing necessary trainings by preparing annual training plans.

Preparation and evaluation of the occupational health and safety annual work plan.

Preparing and submitting annual evaluation reports to the ministry.

Conducting internal audits

Conducting fire evacuation and extinguishing drills.
