The intermediate element that connects the balance gearbox to the differential is called the shaft, in other words, the cardan shaft. In order to prevent vibration, the shaft must be smooth, the parts on the shaft must be solid and the shaft must be balanced. Shaking occurs in vehicles with unbalanced shafts. Vibration occurs in the vehicle body, in further cases it may cause serious damage to the vehicle. In such cases, it is necessary to remove the shaft from the vehicle, replace the damaged parts on the shaft with the original, and then balance the shaft.

Before the shaft is mounted to the vehicle, the shaft parts that need to be lubricated must be lubricated with grease such as crosshairs and sliders. Repeating this process in certain periods is important in terms of prolonging the life of the shaft.
