WHAT IS İZOSAN - POZZOLANA?
* Pozzolana is a powder mixture consisting of portland cement, high quality silica sand and various active chemical substances.
* When mixed with water and applied to the concrete, these active chemicals form water-insoluble crystals and go deep into the concrete with osmotic pressure.
* By filling the capillaries in the concrete, it makes the concrete a waterproof building element.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES?
* Pozzolana is not a coating material.
* The basic approach to waterproofing is based on the principle of making the concrete itself impermeable.
* It is also not an additive material.
* For this reason, the problems that may arise due to mistakes during the placing of the concrete in the mold are not important for Pozzolana.
* Pozzolana is applied to the finished concrete productions with a brush and makes the concrete it is applied to impermeable.
FEATURE OF APPLICATION TO FRESH CONCRETE
* Pozzolana needs water to function.
* Essentially, in order to apply Pozzolana to an old and dry concrete, the surface must be wetted very well.
* When applied on fresh concrete, the result is much more perfect.
SAME PERFECT RESULT IN NEGATIVE AND POSITIVE INSULATION
* Since the insulation function takes place inside the concrete, there is no difference for Pozzolana between insulating an underground structure from the inside (negative) or the terrace from the outside (positive).
* You can insulate a water-filled water tank from the outside without draining the water inside, or it is possible to insulate the basement floors of the building, which are completely under the ground, with an application to be made from the inside.
PROTECTS CONCRETE AND REINFORCEMENT
* Pozzolana applied concrete is protected against the negative effects of various chemicals and harmful liquids such as sea water and waste water.
* Pozzolana prevents these substances from penetrating into the concrete and eroding it, as well as preventing the alkali and salts in the soil from rotting the concrete.
* It also prevents the reinforcement in the concrete from corroding in this way. As a result of expansion and contraction during freezing, the problems of flowering and spalling of concrete are eliminated.
DOES NOT REMOVE CONCRETE'S BREATHING ABILITY
* There are gaps in the concrete that has been applied to Pozzolana, where air molecules can pass. Water cannot pass through these gaps. Thus, concrete can continue to breathe. This feature is very important.
* It not only solves the condensation problem especially on terrace roofs and reinforced concrete exterior walls prepared with tunnel formwork, but also eliminates the burden of making a vapor stabilizer.
NOT TOXIC (TOXIC)
* There is no toxic substance in Pozzolana. It can be used safely in water tanks, grain silos and food tanks.
EASY AND QUICK TO APPLY
* Plaster, screed etc. on the percentage to be applied. It does not require manufacturing, nor does it require a protective manufacturing during application. The application process is simple and fast. It saves a lot of time.
WARRANTY FOR THE LIFE OF CONCRETE
* As long as the concrete element is not broken, punctured or cracked, the insulation is permanent.
* While there is a danger of spreading when water enters from a point in coating materials, water cannot spread even if there is no cracking in Pozzolana applied concrete. * Repair is very simple. Even from the reverse side, the crack can be repaired.

* There are no problems such as tearing, puncture, opening from the joint, not sticking to the surface, and the surface must be dry.

POZZOLANA AREAS OF USE

1. POWDER SPREADING / INSULATION OF RADIAN FROM THE BOTTOM
* It is applied before the concrete is poured after the raft bars are laid on the lean concrete. The amount of powder application is 3 Kg per square meter. 10m2 cells are created by gridwork on the raft irons and POZZOLANA bags weighing 30 Kg are placed in each compartment. The material is applied in powder form in the area where concrete casting will begin, by manually sprinkling over the raft bars.

2. POWDER ADDITIVE
* During the concrete pouring, POZZOLANA material equal to 2% of the cement ratio will be freely added to the concrete mixers arriving at the construction site, and then the concrete in the mixer will be poured after mixing for at least 5 minutes. The amount of consumption is 7Kg/m3.

3. UNDER POSITIVE INSULATION AND LOW HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE
* It is applied by mixing 2 measures of powder and 1 measure of water by volume. Consumption is 2 Kg/m2 in 2 coats. Insulation is applied with a brush. It penetrates into the concrete. There is no joint, tear or puncture problem.

4. UNDER POSITIVE ISOLATION AND HIGH HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE
* It is applied by mixing 2 measures of powder with 1 measure of water by volume. The mixture in the same ratio is applied a second time after the first layer of concrete sets. Consumption is 2Kg/m2.

5. SURFACE REPAIRS AND SEGREGATION ZONES
* Segregation areas are cleaned and putty is applied with 1:1 sand, cement and POZZOLANA materials. In surface repairs, putty is made with 6 measures of powder and 1 measure of water.

6. IN COLD JOINTS, CONCRETE CRACKS AND CONCRETE JOINTS
* It is applied by mixing 6 parts of powder and 1 part of water by volume.
* Water should always be added to POZZOLANA. The water used must be clean.
* Cold joints will be opened with a hilti in 2x2 cm dimensions, cleaned, POZZOLANA putty will be applied.
* There should be no dust, oil and foreign substances on the surface where POZZOLANA will be applied.
* Capillaries must be open in order for the material to walk deep into the concrete. For this reason, it would be appropriate to apply HCL to the surface if necessary.
* Cracks, segregation concrete joints and weak concrete areas should be opened until solid concrete is found, a coat of POZZOLANA should be applied and repaired. The area around the foreign materials (wood, wedge, strut, etc.) in the concrete is 3-5 cm. should be opened to the depth and filled with POZZOLANA. If the surface to be applied is dry, the residual water remaining on the surface after it has been wetted is removed with the help of a sponge. POZZOLANA is applied to the moist concrete surface thus obtained.
* The application is made with a semi-hard bristle paint brush known as İzmir Brush. Make sure that the material is applied to the entire surface. It is useful to provide air circulation with a fan or blow hot air in order to ensure that the material sets in airless environments.
* In very dry environments, it is useful to spray the surface with water before applying the second coat. It is necessary to protect the surface from water pressure without setting the material within 48 hours following the application.
* It should be noted that POZZOLANA walks towards the water.
* When the cold joints are opened in 2x2 dimensions, the consumption of the material used in the form of paste is 1 Kg/mt.
* It should not be applied in open areas during rain and frost.

7. CURE
* Within 2-3 days following the application, it is pulverized in the form of mist and cured.
* Warehouse, Swimming Pool, etc. Water should not be stored in the areas where water will be retained within 10 days following the application.

8. STORAGE
* Shelf life is 13 months when stored at 7C and in a dry environment.
